Blaenavon share new single ‘Catatonic Skinbag’, announce May tour

The track features on the group’s forthcoming album, ‘Everything That Makes You Happy’.

Blaenavon are back! After announcing their second album with a heartfelt letter from frontman Ben Gregory and a one-off live date at London’s Omeara tomorrow, the band have shared brand new track ‘Catatonic Skinbag’.

“The song is about isolation,” explains Ben. “Cutting oneself off from the world to engage in fruitless sensual pleasures and pretending everything is ok. Watching fucking Netflix and drinking a bottle of wine when you should probably instead be in therapy. But there’s a way out. Art, friendship, love. You don’t have to be a catatonic skinbag. Lol.”

The new record will be the follow-up to 2017’s ‘That’s Your Lot’.

They’ll also be hitting the road proper in May, including sets at Liverpool Sound City and Newcastle’s Hit The North festivals in addition to headline dates.
