Dead Pretties are calling it a day
Sad news as the band announce they’re moving on to new projects.

London band Dead Pretties have announced that they’re splitting up to focus on other musical projects, bowing out with a last goodbye single.
“It makes us very sad to announce that dead pretties is no more,” wrote the band in a Facebook post. “It’s been a blast and although this is the end of a chapter it is also a new beginning. You will undoubtedly see us playing in new bands and under new names in the near future. We would like to thank all of those who have come to our shows and to those who have helped us along the way. We leave you with a final song, our parting gift.”
It’s sad to hear that the band - who we profiled in a Neu feature earlier this year - are calling it a day. That said, DIY wish Jacob, Ben, and Oscar all the best; no doubt they’ll continue smashing it whatever they go onto next.
