Demob Happy return with new single ‘Mother Machine’
The trio have shared their first new music of 2020, ahead of their Independent Venue Week tour this month.
DIY favourites Demob Happy have shared their first new music of 2020, in the form of the slickly off-kilter ‘Mother Machine’.
The band’s latest track, which follows on from their most recent album ‘Holy Doom’, and their two 2019 singles ‘Less Is More’ and ‘Autoportrait’, has been aired live at some of their more recent shows, but is officially out now via SO Recordings.
Speaking of the track, frontman Matt Marcantonio has said: “These last three singles have been like a trilogy, expressing things I’ve felt over the most intense year of touring I think we’ll ever do, and things I’ve learned about where we’re all going. I wanted to leave ‘Mother Machine’ ‘til last as there’s a lot of new sounds in it, and I like what it says about the future.”
It also lands ahead of their upcoming stint on the DIY Presents Independent Venue Week tour, in association with Jack Daniel’s, which will be kicking off later this month.
