DIY Weekly, 6th January 2014 - Feat. MØ, Sampha, Banks & More
DIY’s free weekly edition also features Superfood, Circa Waves and Fryars.

It’s a new year, which means attention is turning immediately to the important matter of new bands. In the first of two Class of 2014 DIY Weekly editions to help ease you into 2014, we’ve got the incredible MØ on the cover.
The Danish future-pop newcomer heads up an issue full of individuals intent on setting the agenda for the next 12 months. We’ve interviewed the very best new bands, the groups dead-set on headlining festivals, releasing chart-bothering singles and becoming names that even your mum might start rambling on about.
Joining MØ in the 6th January edition is Liverpool’s Circa Waves - fresh-faced boys signed to Transgressive - DJ duo Bondax, the husky-voiced Sampha, LA’s future-superstar Banks and her favourite collaborator SOHN.
Also inside: We speak to Fryars on his second, more assured take on aiming for the big time, Thumpers discuss the ins and outs of writing a perfect pop song, Superfood go all ‘90s on us and fellow Birmingham boys JAWS dismiss rumours they’ve been hanging out with Brad Pitt.
There’s loads more too, including details of DIY’s free entry Hello 2014 shows - a four week residency at London venue The Old Blue Last.
DIY Weekly is free, available to read online or on the more glossy option of an iPad.
It’s all yours, for exactly zero pence. Grab the issue on iTunes to download the iPad version, or simply read the whole thing on Issuu online, right now.
