Two Different Ways
Factory Floor remix Shura’s ‘White Light’
Gabe Gurnsey goes all out on the 7-minute electro-epic in a relentless reworking.

Factory Floor founder Gabe Gurnsey has remixed Shura’s recent 7-minute disco-epic ‘White Light’.
Bold and all-out, Gurnsey sweeps away all of the original’s footsteps, and the bare-bones re-imagining is fuelled by pingy, stamping beats instead. Shura’s vocals are spliced up into industrial jitters, the synths howl, and disco creeps back into the track in a totally different form - sparse, robotic stabs of cowbell.
It’s not the first time that Shura’s given other musicians free reign to remix her music. Warpaint previously worked their magic with their Steez remix of ‘2Shy’, while Jungle took on ‘Indecision’. Later this year Shura plays her biggest UK headline tour to date, including a stop at London’s Electric Brixton. Full dates for her ‘on-purpose’ tour are below.
