Flyte unveil new video for ‘False Alarm’

Bedroom band footage puts the pop heartbreakers in a new light.

Flyte unveil new video for ‘False Alarm’

So the story goes, Flyte first got noticed by uploading a series of old-school rehearsal footage to Youtube, before picking up label interest.

Since then, they’ve landed a major label deal, headlined the DIY Presents Tour, and set themselves up for a huge 2015. But they’ve yet to lose that initial, old-school appeal. Songs like ‘False Alarm’ still feel like they’ve stepped out of previous decades with a new purpose, and an accompanying video - premiering on DIY - shows the band playing in the same modest, Beatles-poster’ed room, waiting for their lives to change.

The video brings together tour footage, band practice clips, plus the odd shot from our very own DIY Presents Tour (see the dance-off at Reading’s Oakford Social Club).

Watch the new Flyte video below. They’re part of DIY’s Class of 2015 - read the full interview here, where they discuss gaining a new-wave sensibility and a kitschy lyricism, plus why they’d like to “jam with Bach” someday.
