Gallows announce new single, ‘Chains’

The track will be released on 30th June, ahead of a string of festival appearances.

Gallows have announced details of a brand new single.

‘Chains’ was revealed last night on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show, and will be released on 30th June via the band’s own Venn Records - ahead of a string of festival appearances throughout the summer.

It comes with B-side ‘Wristslitter’ and will be out via download and 7” vinyl.

“The song ‘Chains’ came together really quickly,” says the band’s Laurent Barnard. “It started off with one riff and by the end of the day it was recorded. We did it all live too like we were making a garage punk record. My friend Helena who sings in a great band called Dios Mio happened to be in the studio that day so she came in and added some vocals and textures, which brought a very haunting element of the track. It’s very different but still very dark which is what Gallows is all about.”

The Watford (via sort-of-way of Ontario) punks will play the following live dates - including a warm-up gig at the tiny Green Door Store in Brighton on 3rd July.
