Giorgio Moroder and Skrillex are working together on ‘Tron’ game OST
Moroder confirms he’s also doing a film soundtrack.
Giorgio Moroder has confirmed that he and Skrillex are collaborating on the forthcoming ‘Tron’ video game soundtrack. Moroder is set to release his album ’74 Is The New 24’ this year, and in conversation with Clash, the producer confirmed the role given by Disney, with the following information:
“I’m going to meet Skrillex next week when I’m back [from the UK]. I’m doing the music for a game for Disney’s ‘Tron’. We have about five themes, electronic stuff and let’s see if he’s interested in remixing or re-working one of the songs.”
Moroder also confirmed that he is also working on a film soundtrack, after previously providing the scores for ‘Scarface’, ‘Flashdance’, and others throughout his career. Giving no clues about what film it is, he said:
“I have an offer to do a big movie. I cannot tell you what, but it’s… not a 150 million dollars but a big movie, big production. So I have to go back into that, it won’t be easy. I do this with a great musician and a great composer, so we do it together.”
