Kim Petras shares new single ‘Freak It’
Her bouncy, sugary sweet new offering follows on from last month’s release ‘Polo’, which is set to mark a new chapter for the star.

Pop provocateur Kim Petras has returned with her brand new single ‘Freak It’, a bouncy but crunchy effort that is packed full of hyper-pop effects and addictive hooks.
The track - which comes co-produced by Petras, alongside Nightfeelings, Margo XS and Frost Children - follows on from her 2023 full-length releases ‘Feed The Beast’ and ‘Problématique’, last year’s EP ‘Slut Pop Miami’, and her most recent single, ‘Polo’, which landed back in June.
“‘Freak It’ was supposed to be the last track on the album and that was that,” Kim has said, of her newest offering. “Then I started playing it live and the fans went insane. At some point, I just had to give in. I wrote and produced it with my friends, which made it even more fun to finally put out. I miss the chaos and joy of artists like LMFAO and Avicii, and honestly, I just want to lose my mind at clubs this summer listening to this song. The fans yelling at me to release it basically did me a favour. God was definitely in the studio that day.”
While the release of ‘Polo’ - and her recent performances at Pride events across the world - promised to “launch her new era”, we’re still yet to know what’s next in store for Petras - keep your eyes peeled for more music, and in the meantime, check out ‘Freak It’ below.
