La Roux To Team Up With Nile Rodgers For New Album

The story surrounding La Roux’s follow up to their 2009 self-titled debut has taken a new turn, with the news that Chic lynchpin Nile Rogers is set to have input on the forthcoming album.

Speaking to The Daily Star, Rogers said: ‘I totally fell in love with La Roux, it was just insane. I only work with people who are monsters, and I was impressed with how organic and cool Elly was. She’s the person that’s in my cross-hairs right now.’

In the same interview, Rogers has also hinted that he prefers working with Briitsh artists in his role as producer: ‘British artists have a stronger knowledge base of mus­ic, it’s always experimental.’

Work on the album has been ongoing since the start of 2011.
