Lava La Rue drops late summer anthem ‘easy come, easy go’
It’s their first release since sharing their cosmic debut album ‘STARFACE’ last year.

Lava La Rue has returned with new single ‘easy come, easy go’ - a breezy banger of a track that wraps astute musings on AI, online rhetoric, and the digitisation of relationships in nostalgic indie hooks à la Tame Impala or MGMT.
Dubbed by Lava as “the soundtrack of my summer holidays”, the song walks the tightrope between dystopic, Black Mirror-esque anxiety and hopeful optimism: “Even simple milestones like heartbreak or a gap year feel warped,” they explain. “Like not being able to tell if your crush sent you a text ghostwritten by ChatGPT.”
Ultimately, though, the message of ‘easy come, easy go’ is a heartening one. In Lava’s words: “Even if you feel hopeless about the state of the world, use that energy to genuinely double down on radically exuding compassion and community action.”
