Lil Silva and BANKS collaborate on ‘Don’t You Love’
London producer’s new ‘Mabel’ EP sees him collaborating with the LA star once more.
Lil Silva and Banks’ collaborations have spanned the past year or so, and they’re not showing any sign of stopping. There’s a kinship the two share - one a London-based 24-year-old producer, the other an LA based future-superstar - that makes unconventional elements click. Gloomy, bass-heavy pop tracks aren’t in short supply, but newly unveiled number ‘Don’t You Love’ stands out in the crowd, and not just because of its all-star billing.
A playful synth-led number, chopped percussive parts form a hyperactive beat next to the pair’s vocals, which have a habit of overlapping each other in perfect sync.
It’s taken from Lil Silva’s new ‘Mabel’ EP, which comes out 5th August on Good Years / True Panther. Catch up with the previously unveiled title-track here.
