Listen: La Roux Unveils ‘Uptight Downtown’ Single
Lead single from ‘Trouble In Paradise’ is streaming now.

is streaming the first single ‘proper’ from her forthcoming second album ‘Trouble In Paradise’.
‘Uptight Downtown’ is a bouncier, faster number than previous track ‘Let Me Down Gently’, which still managed to pack in sax solos, so it wasn’t exactly lacking in guts and gusto.
Premiered on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show as a Hottest Record, this is a sharper, more analog-sounding take compared to material on Elly Jackson’s self-titled debut. That was five years back. Now Jackson’s ready to show another side.
‘Trouble In Paradise’ is out 7th July. Check out UK November tour dates with Meanwhile below.
