Listen: MGMT Cover Bauhaus’ ‘All We Ever Wanted Was Everything’
The LateNightTales album will be released on 3rd October 2011 (US)
MGMT are the latest band to take on the LateNightTales compilation series, the run of releases that allow artists like The Flaming Lips, Nightmares On Wax, Four Tet, Arctic Monkeys and more recently Midlake to rework their music collections into a ‘LateNight’ spectacle.
According to Pitchfork, MGMT’s effort contains tracks from Velvet Underground, Suicide, Felt, Disco Inferno and The Chills. The band themselves are also getting into the spirit of things with a cover of Bauhaus’ ‘All We Ever Wanted Was Everything’, which you can hear below.
The album will be released on 3rd October 2011 (US).
