Listen: MGMT Cover The Rolling Stones’ ‘Angie’

MGMT have been pretty much holed up in the studio as of recent, but they’ve emerged for the odd show and now, they’ve added a bit of a curveball to their set.

Having already showcased some new material, the Italian duo have now taken to covering The Rolling Stones classic ‘Angie’.

The last we heard from MGMT in terms of new material, was their performance of new track ‘Alien Days’, which was played during the band’s recent set at Festival Estereo Picnic in Colombia back in March.

The Italian psychedelic rock band have recently been working on their third album, which looks set to be titled ‘MGMT’, with producer Dave Fridmann at his Tarbox Road Studios in Cassadaga, Florida.

‘Alien Days’ is slated to appear on the album, which will be the follow-up effort to their second record ‘Congratulations’.
