Listen: The Field Remixes Wild Beasts, ‘Wanderlust’

Anyone with their wits about them might already have this remix in their possession. Wild Beasts’ ‘Present Tense’ was released on Monday - alongside a vinyl LP, the record comes with a 12’ containing two remixes of lead track ‘Wanderlust’. One’s by Factory Floor, the other is this customary repetitive slant by Axel Willner aka The Field.

For this eight-minute take, vocals are nowhere to be found until the halfway mark, by which point they’re just another booming, echoing element bouncing off the walls. This couldn’t have ‘The Field’ stamped all over it anymore unless it blared out a robotic voice declaring ‘This is a remix of Wild Beasts by The Field.’
