Maggie Rogers shares the new video for ‘On + Off’
She’s also announced a date at London’s Brixton Electric in June.
After working together on the videos to ‘Alaska’ and ‘Dog Years’, Maggie Rogers has teamed up with director Zia Anger once again for her ‘On + Off’ video.
It’s a pretty simple idea, with Maggie and three other backing dancers walking around and throwing a few shapes against a stark white background before Maggie gets herself entangled in a billowing blanket (appropriate for this time of year). After that there’s a bit of casual weightlifting (with water bottles), huge fans, numerous costume changes and a brilliantly bold colour palette thrown into the mix. There’s even a little bit of fourth wall-breaking too, as the camera pans around to see the crew. It’s all completely on point.
If you want to see Maggie performing in real life, then her upcoming dates at London’s Omeara are now sold out (as is pretty much all of her upcoming tour). But have no fear as there’s another chance to catch her in the capital! She’s just announced a new date at the Brixton Electric on 21st June. Tickets for the new date go on sale from Friday 2nd February.
