Paris Texas reveal new track ‘girls like drugs’
The buzzy band are back.
Following the release of debut mixtape ‘BOY ANONYMOUS’ back in May, Paris Texas are continuing to build their hype, sharing new single ‘girls like drugs’.
Blending thrashing guitars with slick rap beats, ‘girls like drugs’ marks the latest chapter in the compelling Paris Texas story. Speaking to us earlier this year, Louie spoke of their first project being an intro to the journey they’re embarking upon.
“I want people to go into this knowing that we went into it not knowing who we were, being young and not being certain about anything and listening to it with that same energy of not really knowing and embracing it. Not really putting a pin on it, like ‘This is so and so’, or ‘This is rap-rock’: don’t do that. ‘This is the new fucking yada yada’: don’t do that. Go into it like, I don’t know what this is, they’re having fun with all these different sounds, they’re finding themselves. Hopefully all our fans can find themselves with us. Hopefully we can all go on this journey together.”
Accompanied by a video directed by Zhamak Fullad and Raheem Hercule that reimagines the peep show scene from the 1984 Wim Wenders film, check out ‘girls like drugs’ below.
