Premiere: Listen: Oceaán Remixes Rae Morris, ‘Do You Even Know?’

King of the Remixes aka. Manchester producer Oceaán is at it again for a new take on ‘Do You Even Know?’ from Rae Morris. The song’s taken from an EP of the same name, available on iTunes.

On his new interpretation, Oliver Cean inserts his own vocals alongside a flurry of bongo patterns, bass throbs and lurking synth notes. There’s a fair few parallels between this and Cean’s recent self-titled EP. What’s even more notable is the way in which Morris’ vocals get tangled up, submerged in eerie noise, while still managing to hold their own in a completely novel environment.
