After returning with the triumphant ‘Reborn’ earlier in the year, Rae Morris is back again!
‘Do It’ is the second track from her upcoming, as-yet-untitled second album, which is set to be out early next year. It’s still got that slightly ethereal nature that we’ve come to expect from Rae, with euphoric electro-pop melodies.
Talking about the track, Rae said: “This song is a dare to myself; it’s about daring to take a risk and choosing to take the more exciting route! It kind of exists as a part two of Cold from my first album Unguarded. It’s what happens when you go back into the studio to make more music. Do you write another duet and do a similar thing, or take a risk and do something you’ve never done before? It’s also pretty damn sexy!”
Well, that’s kind of a perfect summation of what’s happening in its accompanying video too! In the clip, directed by Noel Paul, who also took the helm for the visuals on ‘Reborn’, she sets out a personal tale of jumping into the unknown. And has basically all of the fun doing it.
A little later this month, Rae’s going on tour around the UK. The jaunt will see her heading to Norwich, Nottingham, Salisbury and Leeds before rounding it all off with a date at London’s Islington Assembly Hall on 28th September. Tickets are on sale now.
