Rosie Lowe and Rae Morris to talk at DICE’s Girls Music Day

The events take place across this coming weekend (8th-9th April).

The likes of Rosie Lowe and Rae Morris are set to speak at the latest edition of DICE’s Girls Music Day event this weekend (8th-9th April).Starting last year, and previously hosting the likes of Laura Marling and Lucy Rose, the event strives to inspire young women to get involved in the music industry, be it on stage, or in a multitude of other roles.Speaking about the event, Morris says: ”It’s always very inspiring to me when I get to talk in depth to other women in the music industry. The only problem is that these conversations are few and far between. You can learn so much from other people’s experiences. I look forward to meeting and talking to the next generation of girls in music!”As highlighted by the event, only 5% of recognised producers in the industry are female, while only 13% of women make up the 95,000 PRS members. 67.8% of music industry jobs are held by males.Tickets for Girls Music Day are free, and you can apply to win a place here, with applications closing at 10pm tonight (4th April).
