Sia shares martial-arts packed ‘Alive’ video
Set in an abandoned warehouse, the clip links up with her enormous new single.
After releasing a graffiti-packed lyric video for the track a couple of weeks back, Sia’s new ‘proper’ video for ‘Alive’ takes an entirely different tact.
Set entirely within a dusty, abandoned warehouse, it’s a strikingly choreographed clip of a young martial artist practising her moves. Visually, the character’s styling links up with the recently-revealed artwork for Sia’s upcoming album, ‘This Is Acting’, from which the track is taken.
‘Alive’ was co-written with Adele and Tobias Jesso Jr., and was initially planned for inclusion on Adele’s upcoming chart-behemoth ’25’. ‘This Is Acting’, due for release on January 29th, is a collection of tracks that Sia wrote with other artists in mind - she’s previously penned the likes of Rihanna’s ‘Diamonds’ and Beyoncé’s ‘Pretty Hurts’.
