Sonic Youth’s Thurston Moore Starts New Band
Chelsea Light Moving features guitarist Keith Wood, bassist Samara Lubelski and drummer John Moloney, with their first song entitled ‘Burroughs’.
Following the apparent demise of Sonic Youth, Thurston Moore has started up a new band.
Called Chelsea Light Moving, the band also features Keith Wood on guitar, Samara Lubelski on bass and John Moloney on drums.
The artist, who recently collaborated with Yoko Ono and ex-wife Kim Gordon for a charity single, is set to play his first live shows with the band in the US next month - with an album set for release through Matador later this year.
