Spring King air ‘Not Me, Not Now’ track from new compilation

80N7 comes out this Cassette Store Day, bringing together the likes of Happyness and Sunboy.

For this year’s Cassette Store Day (27th September), a new compilation is coming out bringing together fresh cuts from a crop of UK bands (and a couple of exports from the other side of the Atlantic). There’s Happyness, Sunboy and London newcomer Fake Laugh, who premiered his entry on DIY earlier this week.

Manchester’s Spring King are also providing a previously unheard song in the form of ‘Not Me, Not Now’. Led by drummer/singer/chief songwriter Tarek Musa’s reverb-doused vocals and some slugged out chords, it’s a purposefully scrappy addition that runs alongside a new EP out this autumn.

Spring King’s own ‘Demons’ EP is out 8th September on ParadYse - catch-up with latest track ‘Better Man’ here.

The ‘80n7’ compilation is available for pre-order via Rough Trade.
