On the telly
Spring King bring ‘City’ to Jools Holland
Watch the second of two performances on last week’s show.

Last week, Spring King brought fireworks to Later… With Jools Holland, delivering one of the best telly debuts in years.
Their ‘Rectifier’ performance was really bloody good. But on the same show, they also played ‘City’, and this was even better.
The performance aired on an extended version of last week’s Jools. It’s only available to watch on BBC iPlayer (watch from the 9:00 minute mark), but it’s incredible and if you don’t seek it out, you’re a fool. Tarek Musa even does an insane, Samuel T. Herring-style growl at the end, with Elton John sitting mere feet away. Great stuff.
Spring King’s debut album ‘Tell Me If You Like To’ is out 10th June, via Island Records. They’re playing a DIY Presents x Rockfeedback show in London this month - get tickets here.
