According to Modular boss Steve Pavlovic, the follow up to 2000’s ‘Since I Left You’ is ‘finished’ and ready for mixing.
In an interview with $The Music$ Network Pavlovic states: ‘They’re finished, and they’re celebrating. And they’re going to have a little party to celebrate finishing it. The next stage will see the album go to someone to mix.’
He also suggests a new single may be due this year with the full album due in 2012.
‘Since I Left You’, The Avalanches debut, was arguably one of the most important albums of the first decade of this millennium. Receiving almost universal critical acclaim, it sold over 200,000 copies in the UK and was ranked at #10 by Pitchfork in it’s albums of the decade poll.
