The Smashing Pumpkins share another new track ‘Tiberius’
The song is taken from their upcoming ‘Monuments to an Elegy’ album.
After Billy Corgan performed that Joy Division cover, today The Smashing Pumpkins unveiled ‘Tiberius’ the opening track to ‘Monuments to an Elegy’.
The album is the band’s tenth studio LP, the first with Tommy Lee behind the drums. ‘Tiberius’ is available now in the US, alongside the previously released ‘Being Beige’ and ‘One and All’ as part of a sampler from select independent record stores. With a third of the album now available, it seems The Smashing Pumpkins have a found a comfortable middle ground between pomp and fire.
‘Monuments to an Elegy’ like previous album ‘Oceania’, is part of the ongoing ‘Teargarden by Kaleidyscope’ project and will be followed by ‘Day and Night’ at some point in 2015.
‘Monuments to an Elegy’ is out December 9th and you can listen to ‘Tiberius’ below.
