Billy Corgan and Peter Hook And The Light perform ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’

Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan and Jeff Schroeder joined Ex Joy Division bassist Peter Hook onstage for a special rendition of ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’ on Friday night in Chicago during a Peter Hook And The Light show.

Hook said that “it was lovely to see some old friends” on the band’s Facebook page. Corgan was touring guitarist for Hook’s ex band New Order in 2001 as Billboard reminds us.

The band formed in 2010 and are currently on a North American tour and are due to play Australian and New Zealand shows in February 2015.

The Smashing Pumpkins recently revealed new song ‘One And All’ ahead of their forthcoming album ‘Monuments To An Elegy’ which is due to be released on December 9th.
