Alfie Templeman shares colourful new ‘Who I Am’ video
The track is taken from his latest EP ‘Don’t Go Wasting Time’.
Sometimes you just need something to give you that mid-week injection of motivation to see you through, and Alfie Templeman has stepped up to the mark, releasing his brand new EP ‘Don’t Go Wasting Time’ to do just that.
His third EP following 2018’s ‘Like An Animal’ and June’s ‘Sunday Morning Cereal’, Alfie told us back in August how he was working with Easy Life producer Rob Milton to make his latest record. “It’s like, AHHH!!’” he, um, explained. “It’s so amazing! It’s really funky, like, REALLY funky. I can’t even tell you how funky it is! Some of it’s indie, but some of it’s really disco/R&B/pop vibes. The best way to describe it is like summer pop music for someone who’s depressed in winter. I’m really excited, I’m mega excited.”
Explaining how the EP came together more recently (and calmly), Alfie says, “My favourite track from the record is ‘Circles’. I always wanted to do something really bouncy & fat and this was the perfect song for that. Rob Milton smashed the additional production on this one!”
And because he’s so nice, Alfie is also sharing the brightly-coloured vid for EP cut ‘Who I Am’ today too! “Recording the ‘Who I Am’ video with MISC [Harvey Frost] was extremely exciting!” He says. “It’s my most energetic video yet and I really gave it my all on the performance side of things and think it really pays off.”
