With a November tour still a long way off, La Roux’s been debuting new material outside of the UK, with footage emerging of her playing songs from the ‘Trouble in Paradise’ LP in Toronto.

Playing the Danforth Music Hall at a gig on 1st June, she debuted ‘Cruel Sexuality’ and ‘Kiss and Not Tell’ at the show. The former already sounds like a giant in waiting, with ‘Kiss and Not Tell’ basing itself around a strutting funk guitar line. It’s all very ‘Let’s Dance’-era Bowie, in the best way possible.

La Roux releases ‘Trouble in Paradise’ on 7th July - so far she’s unveiled two songs from the record: ‘Let Me Down Gently’ and ‘Uptight Downtown’.

This November, La Roux plays the following dates:

06 Glasgow, O2 ABC
07 Leeds, Metropolitan University
08 Birmingham, The Institute
10 Bristol, O2 Academy
14 Norwich, UEA
15 Oxford, O2 Academy
16 Manchester, Ritz
