Watch: MGMT Unveil Spy-Centric Album Trailer

The oddball build-up to MGMT’s third album continues with this newly unveiled trailer.

Not quite on a ‘Your Life is a Lie’ scale of lunacy, brief snippet of songs are interjected with the band being interrupted by the NSA while doing band practice, and Andrew VanWyngarden being attacked by a possum. That’s just how it goes for Andrew and bandmate Benjamin Goldwasser.

Throw in some neon glowing beetles and children with demon eyes and yep, it probably is the weirdest thing MGMT have ever put their name to.
