Watch: MGMT Unveil ‘Your Life Is A Lie’ Video

‘Your Life Is A Lie’ is a very short song. It’s unlikely to be the clearest indication of their self-titled, third record (due out 17th September on Columbia), because it doesn’t go on for more than 2 minutes. But by hell, they’ve had a go at making it something of a visual centrepiece.

The psych-inclined duo dress up as priests, school teachers, gamblers, bright-suited bath takers - everything. Director Tom Kuntz places Andrew VanWyngarden in the most ridiculous of situations. Every split-second shot unveils a new situation, most of which are very funny (when did you ever expect to see VanWyngarden on a missing dog poster, for example?)
