Watch Shamir make TV debut with ‘On the Regular’ on Canal+

Recently announced as part of the BBC Sound of 2015 longlist, Las Vegas via NYC newcomer Shamir Bailey last night made his worldwide television debut on French station Canal+’s ‘Les lives du Grand Journal’.

Joined by two backing vocalists and a ridiculous amount of percussion, his ‘On the Regular’ single - out on XL Recordings - becomes ten times more bonkers than its already loose-footed recorded version. Shamir takes it in his stride, pacing round the stage and into an audience that, contrary to Parquet Courts’ appearance on the same show, didn’t include Eric Cantona this time.
