Watch: The Knife Post Mysterious Clip, Announce ‘Shaking The Habitual’
Looks like The Knife are releasing their latest album in 2013 after all.
The Knife seem to have posted a rather mysterious video clip online, as you can watch below.
The clip appeared on the Swedish duo’s website earlier today, and the Youtube video is accompanied with the following message.
‘Music can be so meaningless.
We had to find lust.
We asked our friends and lovers to help us.
The cryptic visuals - which include an array of high heels, and the dreamy vision of brightly-dressed characters on swings - follow on from last year’s news that the pair were readying an album for 2012.
Does this then mean, that Karin Dreijer Andersson and Olof Dreijer are almost ready to let us in on their new record? With time in 2012 running out, we’re now looking to next year for a release.
UPDATE: The band have now confirmed that they’ll be releasing their brand new album ‘Shaking The Habitual’ in spring 2013. Light Asylum’s Shannon Funchess will also feature on the record.
It’s been six years since the band’s last album proper, 2006’s ‘Silent Shout’, with opera ‘Tomorrow, In A Year’ and Karin Dreijer Andersson’s Fever Ray both appearing in the meantime.
