Zola Jesus airs new video for ‘Dangerous Days’

Watch Nika Roza Danilova become a digitised individual in her Tim Saccenti-directed clip.

Zola Jesus is airing a landscape-friendly new video for her big, streamlined new single ‘Dangerous Days’.

The track leads Nika Roza Danilova’s forthcoming ‘Taiga’ record, and it mixes her usual bittersweet routine with something bordering on euphoric. An accompanying video directed by Tim Saccenti brings a similar construct - Danilova’s an arms-in-the-air figure, cloaked in fur and staring out to sea, right up until the point she becomes a pixelated, digitised individual.

“The song is a pure emotional plea, a future primitive call to arms. To create a moment of light in these dark times was our hope,” says director Saccenti of the song and video.

Zola Jesus’ ‘Taiga’ is out 6th October. She plays London KOKO on 18th November.
