Bands rarely have as much common sense as Django Django. When there’s an overwhelming response to a demo, it’s not too often that a band decides to listen, build upon the foundations and end up with something even better. ‘Default’ has been around for since early 2009 yet it’s only now that the band has decided to release it as a proper single.
Back when the song was still in the blueprint stages, Django Django seemed to be in the same stage, not yet the band they would come to be. Three years later and ‘Default’ has been transformed into an airtight infectious song, packed with a blues rock guitar riff, psychedelic swirls and harmonious vocals. As a band, they’re now a cohesive outfit and if more of the same quality is featured on their selftitled debut full length, we can expect a lot from this East London four piece in 2012.
