Baio confirms debut album, ‘The Names’
The record will be out this September.

Back in April, Vampire Weekend bassist Chris Baio announced he’d be releasing a full-length record as Baio later this year, having signed to US-based label Glassnote for the album.
“I’m beyond thrilled to be releasing music on such a world-class label,” he said at the time.
He’s now confirmed all the important stuff about the record - it’s self-produced, is called ‘The Names’, and will be released on 18th September.
“The Names is a record that has reverberated through my mind for much of the last five years,” he says. “Its themes began to take shape when I moved from New York to London in 2013.”
The track listing for ‘The Names’ is:
Brainwash yyrr Face
The Names
Sister of Pearl
I Was Born in a Marathon
Needs
All the Idiots
Matter
Endless Rhythm
Scarlett
If all that wasn’t enough, he’s shared that opening number too, here’s ‘Brainwash yyrr Face’.
