George Ezra, Royal Blood, Alt-J and Chvrches nominated for BRIT Awards 2015

George Ezra and Royal Blood lead the nominations for this year’s BRIT Awards.

Ezra is up for four nominations: Best Breakthrough, Best British Male, Best British Album for ‘Wanted on Voyage’ and Best British Single for ‘Budapest’.

Royal Blood have picked up three nominations, Best British Group, Best Breakthrough Act and Best British Album for their self-titled debut.

Elsewhere, the battle of all battles takes place with 5 Seconds of Summer and The War on Drugs up for Best International Group.

Chvrches are up for Best Breakthrough, St. Vincent and Taylor Swift for International Female and Charli XCX’s ‘Boom Clap’ is up against Sam Smith and Ed Sheeran for British Video of the Year.

James Bay was previously declared winner of the Critics’ Choice Award, beating Years & Years and George the Poet to the prize.

The BRIT Awards 2015 takes place on Wednesday 25th February at The O2, broadcast live on ITV. Royal Blood, George Ezra, Taylor Swift and Paloma Faith are the confirmed performers for the night.
