Listen: Ides Streams New Track, ‘Two Car Garage’

Alanna McArdle has shared a new track under her name Ides, linking up to a string of standalone tracks and a notable ‘Songs About Love/Hate’ EP from earlier this year.

Released alongside a tag explicitly stating that this isn’t a Christmas song, it’s certainly stipped of festive cheer, is ‘Two Car Garage’, with claims of ‘I feel sick’ sounding like they’re coming from the conscience of someone who’s heard Noddy Holder bark on about the season to be jolly a few too many times. ‘Some people never get better,’ declares McArdle, atop a familiar backdrop of barely there but breathtaking guitars.

Lan’s band Joanna Gruesome have recently been taking off Stateside, as well as rounding off a tour with Los Campesinos! and announcing one on these shores with Speedy Ortiz (check out details of a DIY Presents show in Brighton).
