Los Campesinos! To Perform On Late Show With David Letterman

Los Campesinos! have announced that they’ll be performing live on The Late Show With David Letterman.

The Cardiff-based seven-piece, who released their latest album ‘Hello Sadness’ in November, revealed the news that they’d be appearing on the American talk show next Friday on Twitter.

Posting on the social media platform, the band - who head out on a tour of North America throughout this month and next - said: ‘Next week, our band (Los Campesinos!) will be performing live on The Late Show with David Letterman.’

As well as posting that they’d be appearing on the show along with Dana Carvey (Garth from Wayne’s World), they later added: ‘Thank you for your congratulations. It means a lot that you’re happy for us’.

The news means that their show in Boston on 19th January has been pushed back to the 20th, and that their show in Montreal on 20th January has been cancelled, as announced on their blog on Tuesday.

The band join a long list of successful artists to appear on the popular American show, including The Strokes, Animal Collective, Mos Def, and Sonic Youth.

Full updated dates of the band’s tour can be found below. Plans for a UK tour are due to be announced on Monday 16th January.
