Lucy Rose returns with open-hearted collab single ‘Scared Of Loving Wild Again’
“A group of kind and hugely talented musicians kicked my arse into gear and gave me the reinforcement I needed,” she has said of its origins.

Lucy Rose is back with ‘Scared Of Loving Wild Again’, a new track that stands as her latest in an intermittent string of singles spanning 2024’s ‘Those Red Lights’ and last year’s ‘Pale Blue Eyes’ / ‘Pink’.
Her first foray into collaborative writing, ‘Scared Of Loving Wild Again’ saw Lucy team up with Leif Vollebekk and Gabe Simon (Noah Kahan’s ‘Stick Season’ LP), while girl in red and Mumford & Sons’ Ben Lovett acted as trusted sounding boards over the course of the group’s NYC writing sessions.
Explaining more about how a conversation with Maggie Rogers inspired her to write without inhibition, Lucy has reflected: “at a time in my life where I felt so unsure of how I was going to write music again, or be brave enough to feel again, a group of kind and hugely talented musicians kicked my arse into gear and gave me the reinforcement I needed to not only write ‘Scared Of Loving Wild Again’, but to feel like I could write another record, which I have already started work on.”
