Chart update
Lucy Rose scores top ten album with ‘Work It Out’
Ed Sheeran’s ‘x’ is the last album to top the non-Global Release Day charts.
Lucy Rose’s second album ‘Work It Out’ has gone straight into the Official Album Chart top ten, landing a spot at #9.
Rose’s second work helps make up the final Official Album Chart to arrive before Global Release Day, where all releases are put out worldwide every Friday. Ed Sheeran’s ‘x’ tops this week chart, enjoying a second consecutive week at #1. Last week’s chart-topper - Lionel Richie & The Commodores’ ‘The Definitive Collection’ - completes the top five alongside James Bay and Taylor Swift.
Other new entries include Krept & Konan with debut album ‘Long Way Home’ (#2), Saint Raymond’s ‘Young Blood’ (#7) and Ezra Furman with ‘Perpetual Motion People’ (#23).
In the Official Singles Chart, David Zowie is top with ‘House Every Weekend’, which climbs 51 places. Years & Years’ ‘Shine’ single is new at #2, with Fifth Harmony (ft. Kid Ink), Lost Frequencies and Tinie Tempah (ft. Jess Glynne) making up the rest of the top five.
