Morrissey to record a new album “in February”?

According to an interview with a Serbian website, Mozza could be heading back into the studio sooner than expected.

It’s fair to say that Morrissey has had a bit of tumultuous time of it recently, but from the looks of things, he’s already looking ahead to the new year and what it has to bring.

Despite having been heckled off stage in Warsaw a few weeks ago, before slagging off a handful of people on stage in London and most recently, cancelling a whole host of shows, it seems that Mozza is now setting his sights on another album, which he could be recording as soon as February.

According to an interview with Serbian website B92.net - and as pointed out by fan website Morrissey-Solo.net - Morrissey has plans to begin work on the follow-up to this year’s ‘World Peace Is None Of Your Business’ within the next few months.

With a little help from Google Translate, the website asks, “Although you recently released a new album that you think about the following?” to which Morrissey replies, quite succinctly, “Yes. We wrote a new album and I hope that we will record in February.”

In the meantime, Morrissey has four remaining European shows left on his tour, with the aforementioned cancelled dates still due to be rescheduled.
