The new run follows a support tour with Interpol.

Nilüfer Yanya returned last week with new single ‘Heavyweight Champion Of The Year’, and she’s now announced details of a huge UK and European tour for next year.

The singer is set to support Interpol on their massive UK and European run, beginning this week with two huge London shows at the Royal Albert Hall, and after heading to the US in support of Sharon Van Etten early next year, will head out on her own headline run.

The tour begins in Istanbul in late March, running through the entirety of April and finishing in early May. It features a huge London headline show at EartH in Hackney. The UK shows will also come with support from Westerman.

In our review of her new single, we said: “The tension of the jaggedy back-and-forth of the majority of the track is released gorgeously as drums and backing vocals crash in for a soaring end, and ‘Heavyweight Champion Of The Year’ is as unpredictable, left-of-centre and thrilling as we’ve come to expect from the singer.”
