Perfume Genius enlists Aldous Harding for new track ‘No Front Teeth’
The track is the second preview of Mike Hadreas’ forthcoming new album ‘Glory’.

Perfume Genius - the longtime project of Mike Hadreas - has shared the second track from his forthcoming seventh album, ‘Glory’. Following on from last month’s ‘It’s A Mirror’, ‘No Front Teeth’ - which also features New Zealand artist Aldous Harding - begins as a delicate, haunting offering before hedonistic guitars crash to the fore a few minutes in.
The track gets taken from Hadreas’ forthcoming record ‘Glory’, which is due for release on 28th March via Matador Records and set to be eleven tracks in length. The record sees him return to work with producer Blake Mills, with whom he’s worked on his previous three albums; his most recent project ‘Ugly Season’, 2020’s ‘Set My Heart on Fire Immediately’ and its predecessor, 2017’s ‘No Shape’. This time around, however, the recording process was a much more collaborative process, with Mike being joined in the studio by a cast of musicians, including guitarists Meg Duffy and Greg Uhlmann, drummers Tim Carr and Jim Keltner, and bassist Pat Kelly, and the aforementioned Harding.
Alongside his new single, he’s also shared a brilliant video that sees both Mike and Aldous engaging in a surreal fever dream that packs in lust, violence, and - of course - the manic making of waffles. Check out the clip, as directed by Cody Critcheloe, below.
To mark the release of ‘Glory’, Perfume Genius has also been announced as one of the headliners for this year’s BBC 6 Music festival; he’ll perfome at Manchester’s O2 Victoria Warehouse on 29th March alongside Kae Tempest and SHERELLE. What’s more, he’s also scheduled a special intimate headline show in London, taking place on 27th March at The ICA. Tickets for his headline show go on general sale next Tuesday (25th February) from 10am.
