Vampire Weekend’s Chris Baio takes a starry-eyed solo turn with his latest track.
bassist Chris Baio continues to take steps under his house-centric solo guise, most recently with the new ‘Mira’ 12’, which comes out next week via Future Classic.
Baio’s ever-shifting approach brings together countless ideas in the suitably malleable ‘Welterweight’, which faces blow after blow of electronic punches, eventually receiving the knock-out punch in a dreamy abstract finale.
DIY’s delighted to be premiering the new track - pre-order the ‘Mira’ 12’ via Future Classic, out 28th October.
