Sigrid returns with brand new single 'Jellyfish'

Norwegian’s premier pop icon Sigrid is back, and she’s offered up her brand new single ‘Jellyfish’. Marking the start of her new era, the track sees her once again team up with her longterm collaborator Askjell Solstrand for a sunshiney track that feels to channel the woozy nostalgia of ’00s indie-pop.

“It’s my slightly more free-spirited and joyous side,” Sigrid says of the new track, which was written cult film Napoleon Dynamite played in the background. “I wanted it to feel easy — like a Scandinavian summer. Flirting can feel so chaotic and stupid, but that’s the best part of it.”

“I love using my voice as a vessel to pour my heart out,” she says, “but on this song, I wanted it to sound carefree, joyful and playful - maybe a bit nonchalant.”

The new single lands in the midst of a busy summer for the singer - who released her second album ‘How To Let Go’ back in 2022 and her ‘The Hype’ EP the following year - as she take to the stage at a slew of festivals and event across Europe.
