Sufjan Stevens has lined up a 10th anniversary edition of ‘Illinois’

For fan-favourite album ‘Illinois” tenth birthday, Sufjan Stevens is prepping a new pressing of the record, with new artwork.

In collaboration with Marvel, the new record sees the original’s Superman illustration replaced by one of The Blue Marvel. Superman was removed from the artwork shortly after release over fear of lawsuit from owners D.C. Comics. As D.C.’s main competitor, it’s fair to say this team-up is probably a bit of a sass from Marvel. Quality.

The re-press is set to be released early 2016 via Asthmatic Kitty, and the pressing of 10,000 will come in two colours - ‘Antimatter Blue’ and ‘Cape White’. Catch up with ‘Chicago’, from ‘Illinois’, below.
