Sufjan Stevens reveals new album packaging
‘Carrie & Lowell’ vinyl will look to home for aesthetic inspiration.
Sufjan Stevens recently announced that his forthcoming album ‘Carrie Lowell’ will be released on 30th March via Asthmatic Kitty. The label yesterday shared details and pictures of the vinyl edition on Reddit.
‘Carrie and Lowell’ takes its name from Stevens’ mother and stepfather and from the images shared yesterday, it looks as though the art direction will also be lead by images from home. The inner sleeve shows “a young Sufjan eating a banana at the breakfast table”, with Asthmatic Kitty also presenting photos of the lyric sheet and back cover image. ‘Carrie and Lowell’ is the first album to be released by Stevens since 2010 when he released ‘The Age of Adz’. Watch a trailer for the album below:
