Sufjan Stevens has shared two new tracks.
‘Love Yourself’, based on a sketch written two decades back, and the completely new ‘With My Whole Heart’ have been released in celebration of Pride Month. The latter, says Sufjan, was a personal challenge to “write an upbeat and sincere love song without conflict, anxiety or self-deprecation.”
Proceeds from the tracks will go to two LGBTQ charities - the Ali Forney Center in Harlem, NY and Detroit’s Ruth Ellis Center.
Sufjan has also designed a limited run Pride themed t-shirt.
